Mass Tort Litigation Paralegal (Hybrid)

Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 annually

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Partner

Schedule: 9:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday (flexibility for overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed)

A plaintiffs-side litigation firm is seeking an experienced Mass Tort Litigation Paralegal to support its growing Mass Torts practice. This role is ideal for a mid-level paralegal who enjoys working closely with attorneys on complex matters, managing large volumes of documents, and supporting coordinated proceedings such as MDLs.

The right candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable balancing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting complex litigation and large-scale discovery is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proofread, cite-check, and fact-check attorney-drafted documents, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and trial papers
  • Organize documents and coordinate document productions
  • Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials by creating, compiling, and organizing exhibits
  • Index discovery documents
  • Create tables of contents and tables of authorities for court submissions
  • Assist with litigation tasks including preparation of short-form complaints, plaintiff fact sheets, and settlement documents
  • Conduct legal and internet research using PACER, Bloomberg, Westlaw, Lexis, and similar platforms
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments and outside agencies
  • File documents in courts and arbitration forums including AAA, JAMS, and NAM
  • Perform additional litigation support tasks as assigned based on case needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Prior experience supporting mass torts, complex litigation, or MDLs preferred
  • Strong research, organizational, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and FileSite
  • Experience with document production and review platforms such as Relativity or Concordance
  • Knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures, including PACER/ECF
  • Familiarity with arbitration and court rules, procedures, and e-filing requirements
  • Experience with discovery, subpoenas, and coordinating service of process vendors
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new litigation support tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
